Baby names come and go throughout the years, with some names falling out of favour only to reappear a few decades later. But baby names are also often influenced by pop culture, with some of the generation's favourite names reflecting what we’re all watching during that time.
This got us at Topp Casino Bonus thinking, what are some of the most common baby names influenced by current TV characters?
Each of the three most popular TV-inspired baby names were all predominantly boy’s names, but somewhat worryingly, they were all inspired by villainous characters!
Number one was Walter, shared with the chemistry teacher-turned drug baron Walter White from Breaking Bad, followed by serial killer Dexter and biker gang member Jax from Sons of Anarchy. Let’s just hope that the thousands of babies who share a name with these characters don’t live up to their names!

But which are the rarest baby names inspired by our favourite TV characters? There were just three boys (all in the UK) named Athelstan, a character from the popular Vikings TV show, although it is also the name of an old Anglo-Saxon king too.
Following this, there were five boys who shared a name with the mysterious Mr Eko from Lost, as well as Cahir, the antagonist from The Witcher as well as five girls with the name Melisandre, shared with the ‘Red Woman’ from Game of Thrones.
